The re-design of the Detroit Athletic Company website took place over the course of several weeks, between the normal production work that we have to do at Skyline. After brainstorming with Bryan (the other artist at skyline), we decided on the "look-n-feel" that we wanted to accomplish. Being more versed in web-design, I prepared the HTML framework while Bryan created the category images.

My initial version used a series of nested DIV tags and CSS to format the page. Unfortunately, as the DAC webstore is hosted by Prostores, their page creation system forced me to re-think my code. Instead of a single file for each page, Prostores creates each page by combining a 'Header' and 'Footer' with a 'Center' document. With this in mind, I re-coded the pages using Tables, which offered more predictable results.

My geek moment on this website was getting the flash video on the 'Our History' page to appear "underneath" the photographic elements in the collage.
